Dyson Racing turned back the clock in 2007 with its
move to Porsche and two of its RS Spyders in LMP2.
It marked a reunion in top-level sports car racing as
Rob Dyson made his prototype debut with a Porsche
962 in 1985. Dyson Racing’s relationship with Porsche
covered seven seasons and resulted in 12 victories
in IMSA GTP. North America’s leading sports car
team, Dyson Racing is preparing for its 34th year in
motorsports and 25th at the professional level, a span
that has produced 16 championships, 61 victories, 55
pole positions and 163 podiums. For 2008, the team
again plans to campaign two Porsche RS Spyders
for the full 12-round schedule with primary drivers
Chris Dyson, Marino Franchitti, Butch Leitzinger and
Guy Smith. Since entering the Series in 1999, Dyson
Racing has recorded four overall victories, nine class
wins and 16 overall pole positions.
