One of the premier and most competitive teams in the American Le Mans Series, Risi Competizione captured its second team championship in 2007 and first driver championships for Mika Salo and Jaime Melo. The team made Series history at the 12 Hours of Sebring by winning the GT2 class with the closest finish in the race’s 56-year history, 0.202 seconds over the No. 45 Flying Lizard Porsche. Armed with a new Ferrari 430 GT Berlinetta for the season, the team will compete for its third GT2 title with full season commitments by Jaime Melo and Mika Salo. Founded in 1998, the Risi Competizione racing team is organized and managed by Guiseppe Risi, the owner and principal of the Houstonbased Ferrari and Maserati dealership. The team races its own race cars as well as provides full racing services for select private clients.
