Highcroft Racing became Patron Highcroft Racing in 2008 when the team signed the premium spirits company as their title sponsor. This season marks the team’s second year as part of Acura’s factory program in the American Le Mans Series. Brought on to concentrate on chassis development for Acura, Highcroft Racing exceeded all expectations with a third-place finish in the 2007 LMP2 championship with four podium finishes. The next phase of Patron Highcroft Racing’s program involves campaigning the new Acura ARX-01b with drivers David Brabham and Scott Sharp, with Stefan Johansson joining the duo for the endurance events. The team officially entered American Le Mans Series competition in 2006 and posted an overall podium finish in that year’s Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.
